Most of the time, even colored small bumps around the rim of the penis are harmless – but it is best to see a doctor who can reassure you. One thing is for sure – there is no reason to stay silent and worry. Just make a quick visit and get the reassurance you need!

Best thing to do is to ask your mum or dad to bring you to a dermatologist near by. let them know it is for itchy skin, and then ask to talk to the doctor alone in the room to discuss anything private.

Most often, spots only on the rim are PPP – but it is unusual for these to pop up suddenly while you are sick.
It is worth a trip to a local doc to check for you.

hi im 17 years old and i just started to see these bumps. i smoke marijana and think that i have gotten sick from long term use. i have had mucous for 2 weeks nd a cold. i had a sore throat but thats long gone. do u think this is ppp or herpes? they dont hurt or pop. im uncircumcied and there just spots on the rim. but as ive said ive been sick for 3 weeks now nd it might just be the flu? can u help?

Thanks for writing. No creams can treat PPP – if you want them removed, you will need to make an appointment with a doctor who specializes in removing them. But remember – they are common, normal, and harmless – so you don’t really need to do anything about them.
